Yep. Most stage productions portray Marius as genuinely affectionate to Eponine, which gives her character more motivation for her crush (and for dying at the barricades with him); he likes her, even if he doesn't love her, and he remembers her fondly at several points, including telling the Thenardiers that they

Yeah, I agree with your comment about Marius at the end. I think it's less obvious in the stage version because the micro-plot about Marius's grandfather and the "shame" he's bringing on the family (a fairly major plot point in the novel) is completely left out, so it feels less like, "Oh? Thank God Dayana is finally gone. I know a lot of people take exception to Lisa and her reactions and outbursts towards Dayana, and while I agree that Lisa was over-the-top with her ire in the beginning, I really do believe that Dayana was horribly miscast on this show and needed to be gone weeks ago. I do think Lisa

Well, maybe it was a little culturally insensitive of Whitney to question Dominique's education level, since education and institutional racism are pretty closely tied together. However, I agree with you that the leap from there to "Whitney's racist!" was a rather large one. Unfortunately, Whitney rose to the bait,
