Well it is a SECRET society, and John's dad did leave while he was a kid, so he would have a good reason not to know anything about it.

I think you're splitting hairs on the Men of Letters not existing at that particular time. You have a family with hunter history on the one side and a family with Men of Letters history on the other. They're trying to pair these two lineages up and do so with Mary and John. The fact that there's no acting members of…
I agree that it was a little contrived, but I did forgive it in that at least they weren't hunters like the other side of the family. Plus I thought they did a good job in referencing cupid making sure these two people got together. Trying to unite Hunters and Men of Letters together to save the world is kind of a…
Part of what made the first few seasons special for me was that you were kind of discovering this expanding "hunter" universe with the Winchesters. By season 5 onward you and they kind of know everything there is to know. Sure there's a weird critter that pops up here and there, but for the most part the hunter life…
I could barely understand any of the dialogue from next week's preview. Had to rewatch over and over and still couldn't understand what Kevin and Dean were saying.
I really love this Men of Letters expansion. It feels likes the freshest thing to happen since the end of season 5. It gives the characters room for growth and change. Especially love the 'bat-cave.' I immediately got that giddy "secret clubhouse" feeling. I would love to see Kevin close off the gates of Hell (and…
Without a doubt, Dr. Who. People tell me "Oh just jump in with the fifth Doctor" or whatever. I have NO IDEA what your talking about or the DECADES of backstory I'm not clued into. It's way too daunting to ever consider jumping into.
Man, I wanted to like this show. Kevin Bacon! Yes! Serial killer procedural! Yes! Interesting concept! Yes!
I didn't find it very funny, but I did enjoy the creepy vibe.
I'm always impressed at how well the show can creep me out in a good way. I've never seen anything like it.
Liked, except for the Ribisi part.
Eesh, I can't stand 'Be Kind Rewind." They put all of the good parts in the trailer, and no wonder. The rest of the movie was a disorganized, unfunny, mess. Bonus hatred: that it inspired the obnoxious act of "Sweding" movies on the Internet. The movie that made me fall out of love with Michel Gondry a bit.
It keeps the government mind-waves out.
Apparently I'm alone in thinking this, but I swear Audrey Tatou is at all time pushing out her lips to make them look like that. Same with the Olsen twins. Why won't anyone believe me?
I guess they're going to add the halo over Job's head in post?
That was a great line… This show is great at nailing those little side characters you never see again.
B-? No, A.
I agree, I'd give it a B or B-.
I dunno, I'm a little torn. I like the idea of a cult following this serial killer, but I dislike that the killer was into Poe. Freshmen English majors are into Poe. It just seems well-tread and safe. What kind of cult follows a guy that's just REALLY into Edgar Allen Poe? I mean you put him up against the killer from…
You know guys, some other stuff has happened since 1945. Just sayin'.
