Anyone think it was wrong that Becky was helping Josh out from the balcony? Granted she was just telling him one of his burners was smoking or something, but help is help. If I were David Martin-ezz I would have called them out on that.

I actually respect him for that. She really would have a tough time in a restaurant. The help she gets from her helper actually seems to go over the line. It was cool that he gave her a thumbs up a the end, but I don't think he was entirely wrong.

Graham usually gets the demeaning job of sponsor whore, and last night was no different. I am surprised that the words Wal-Mart left Joe's mouth though.

Now? I always hated it. Written by that computer that shats out quirky character attributes. Collects ukeleles! Never brushes hair! Is eight years old and listens to Mel Torme!

False. While it shows its age a bit in that CG creatures have gotten more detailed and fleshy over the years, I think the compositing and overall believability is still there. The dinos have a weight to them that subsequent CG creatures of the time often lacked. The quality is still there.

Just rewatched Lord of the Rings this week… hard to believe the first two are almost a decade old now. Holds up very well… in fact I'd go so far as to say the series still hasn't been touched in terms of spectacle and scope. I'd blame Harry Potter more for the shitty stuff like Golden Compass and His Dark Materials.

Jurassic Park's CG FX hold up surprisingly well. The drop off in quality with subsequent CG fests of the era is pretty remarkable.

Um. I know you can copyright a design. There are so many elements that are different in this design, they are not the same design. They are the same idea, that's it. And again, you can't copyright an idea. Quite simply, there's no case here.

Regardless of what it makes you "think of" it doesn't matter. There's no legal case here because it's not the same artwork and you can't "copyright" an idea.

Uh… no. No case. Even if it was "inspired by," they don't nearly look enough alike for this to be brought up by anyone but the staunchest copyright blowhards.
