That's…that's what he suggested.

If you think your partner might be too racist and hateful, they are.

Bosch.

This category being there is the only way I would ever do well on Jeopardy. That was easy as hell.

Yeah, if that was a Finals preview…ugh.

Yeah I almost didn't read the newswire for that reason. But then I did. I'm part of the problem.

Lucky us!

Yep. No worries. I did add The Forever War to my to-read list though. So thanks for that!

That's a valid complaint. I did have those questions as the story was unfolding, but by the end they weren't in my mind, so I suppose I liked where he did take it. Just a disagreement there.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is terrific. You should enjoy that.

Really? I thought it followed through on it pretty well. I've only read that and Redshirts but I really enjoyed both.

That's a possibility, but I really enjoy Scalzi's writing, so I'm going to keep reading until I get tired of it.

Started the year with Old Man's War by John Scalzi. Really fun and irreverent read. Some clever ideas and it's such a quick read. Next up was Pratchett's The Color of Magic, which was fun, but not nearly as good as his later Discworld books. It was pretty scattered and unfocused. The seeds were there though.

Yeah, that was my issue. I don't generally torrent things, so it kinda fell by the wayside. I'll get to it now.

Oh sweet, I can finish it now. I watched like the first 5 or 6 episodes and liked it a lot too.

Woot! Killin' it.

Wait. How many weeks? That's like the only reason I read this thread.

Yeah, I definitely identify with not wanting kids. I like her for that alone. I'm adding the book to my list!

That will definitely be one good result of a movie.

Yes! It felt way too scattered. I'd say Guards! Guards! was a great entry point for me. Try that one.
