Ohyeah…that's the stuff.
Ohyeah…that's the stuff.
Now I've gone and caught the sniffles!
If I recall, the commentary track on Beef Consomme ends with all of them losing it in the studio when that part happens…some discussion about the flesh-colored cock-sock that Cross wore. Worth a listen (as are all the commentaries, really).
She also refers to all the attendees at the Hispanic Daytime Television Awards as waiters and keeps asking them to get her drinks. Obviously she doesn't direct that at Marta, but seems like a pretty good indication of her probable problem and/or lack of respect with/for her.
Call-forwards
I would argue that many of the seeds planted in Shock and Awww actually don't come to fruition until the second and third seasons…I'm sure that was planned only to an extent, but it really illustrates how beautifully crafted the show's ongoing plotting was.
Really, it's Midnite Vultures that inspires the ire? I really thought it'd be either Mellow Gold or Sea Change that would be controversial (the former for being too immature, the latter for being too maudlin).
For whatever it's worth (read: not a fucking thing), I also approve.
Beck
Mellow Gold
Odelay
Mutations
Midnite Vultures
Sea Change
So, Mr Simpson…you admit you grabbed her can.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1….
Countdown to Karla Ha Ha's bullshit comment on this Newswire post.
This and David Cross's bit about not having taken a solid shit in 20 years due to self-abuse (drink and drugs)…yes, I can relate.
Maybe I'm becoming cynical in my old age
I've watched the full run of this show probably 5 times, and I decided I'd watch Season 3 again and follow along with Heisler's posts.
If it wasn't for that horse
I never would have spent that year in college.
And that last paragraph has NOT been done before. Good stuff.
That Joe Pesci line in that story was fucking great. Awesome button on that one.
Recently the panel was Mo, Paula, and Tom Bodett. It was awesome.
Pretty much any "one off" character from AD could qualify for this, I think. Barry Zuckercorn, Carl Weathers, Uncle Jack, Bob Loblaw…I'd watch a show starring any or all of those guys.
Lucille's lack of scruples
Well documented, of course, but her repeatedly re-hitting Michael in the head during his recovery (every time he starts to remember something) is pretty awesome and pretty awful. Oh Lucille…
Barry Z's self-hating homophobia is the best
Later on when he's got that rash he picked up in Century City…more comedy gold, I tells ya!
So…
…did you have to agree to not ask him about Caligula?
