Not sure about the motivations, but it's obvious (right?) that she's up to no good in some form or fashion. Mysterious hints at her background, insistence on ingratiating herself with someone potentially powerful, etc…think she's going to turn out to be like a ninja assassin or something.

The planting of stuff early on for later payoff has, in my opinion, never been done better by any other show. Ever. There's throwaway shit in Season 1 that becomes SO important later…so fucking brilliant.

One thing the show does a great job of in the future is the bleeped cursing. When Buster goes off on Lucille to the other siblings? Fucking awesome.
