Also: Bey it ain't so!

I am not really a fan, and never deliberately listen to any of her music, but I totally get why she is so ubiquitous. She is about as physically attractive as a human being can be, has no qualms about exploiting that, but does so in a way that avoids the weird/provocative paths of some other  pop stars. She seems to

I thought that I indiscriminitely loved yodeling (well, pretty much), but then I heard a recording of Jewel yodeling, and it frightened me.

I rarely listen to any country music, although occasionally I hear a song that I like. I enjoy the Civil Wars (so simple & pure) and even the Band Perry, because they're just terrific, subtly rootsy pop music.

I can see what you're saying. I tend to hear it as "atmospherics" as opposed to filler.

I love "Airbag." Probably my fav Radiohead track.

The friend who first told me about Coldplay back in 2000 or so said that his one misgiving was that they were so derrivative of Radiohead. But even having that in my mind, I never felt it myself. Is it the falsetto? To me, the spirits of those two respective bands have always been very different.

I only own Parachutes and X&Y. I like X&Y - I can see how it isn't to everyone's tastes, but I do not approve of it being called "mostly lousy." I agree that the band sounds much different on Parachutes than on any of the later stuff I've heard. The main virtues of Colplay are the sense of optimisim, and their knack

My misgivings about him are that his shows/movies tend to look great, but not actually have much plot. I think that he is way overrated in terms of how good he actually is versus his increasing ubiquity. But I will say that I did enjoy Star Trek. The thing is that I don't want the same person running them both.

This disturbes. Greatly. J.J. Abrams is not a bad director from a visual standpoint, but I have to say that something about me just does not respect him. I think that he is highly overrated, and I am a little bit horrified right now. That's just how it is.

Sadly, no denying that.

Sadly, no denying that.

Okay, that I can go with. Evangeline Lilly had better be in it if this is the way it's gonna go…

That pretty much precisely describes me. Joss I adore. J.J. I am very wary of. I am terrified.

I rememer when I was young(er) and impressionable(er) seeing their first Greatest Hits CD (the red one) with a sticker on the front proclaiming them "America's Greatest Rock Band." For all I knew at that point, it was true. Now, not so much my thought.

I'm totally with you, flowsthead. Objective verdict on Aerosmith aside, Pike didn't add much of value.

Frosthammer is a great title…but probably still not enough to get me to check out HoF.

Thinking about that, it really is a trip how commerically/mainstream popular Aerosmith has remained. Tom Petty has had a good deal of longevity and reinvention, but how many other rock bands from the 70s are still as publicly high-profile as Aerosmith today? I suppose it's due to Steven Tyler.

I can't decide which would be weirder…buying hairbands to the obviously creepy hair bands, or buying hairbands to the so-sweet-there-must-be-something-scary-about-this Apple Pie Historians.
