The video looks like a birthday party in the back room of a roller rink, but they do sound sweet. I like the audio.

I've never really listened to Motley Crue in all fairness, but I sensed that may not have been the most effective comparison. Not much of an Aerosmith fan, but "Cryin'" has some great melodies. "Sweet Emotion" is fantastic from a guitar perspective, but like "Dude…" the lyrics are arguable.
I am not really so much a J.J. Abrams fan, and I agree that his Trek film wasn't in line much with the core spirit, but in terms of practicality, that film was exactly what Star Trek needed to tear itself out of the virtual self-parody doldrums. Now, the franchise has the currency to get rolling again. And I would not…

I think that that was what was going through my mind. I honestly had not really made the connection between Big Bang Theory and ASD, but it seems to me that that show at least does humanize its eccentric characters. Sure, it plays most of it for laughs, but there is a great degree of positive empathy in it as well.…
My thoughts pretty much exactly. Maybe not the spitting, but instant acute boredom. Also, the Bourne Legacy trailer wore on me more every time I was subjected to it, starting with the first time.
I'll give them this (if nothing else) - Solange's and Beyonce's parents picked great names. If those are their real names, of course.
Nay, Archmage, you are a shieldmaiden of Aether; I do not think that that will be your fate.
Late comment: I seriously love and respect Batman TAS, but Superman TAS did not impress me anywhere near as much… Justice League was bit better.
I've owned Eponymous, Out of Time, Automatic and Monster. Although I never really got into Montster (other than "Kenneth" which is always gets me going), I think that R.E.M. did a pretty good job branching out stylistically while still making good music. I've gotta say that there is something very almost…
"Once Upon a December" from Anastasia.
I genuinely think that High School Musical (1) has some great musical sequences, great choreography and energy. HSM 3 seemed decent as well.
I just can't really buy Oliver Twist as a musical.
I used to think that I just generally loved musicals, but I've realized that I find many of them extremely boring. There are different types of songs in musicals. The Sound of Music is a split decision in that way. I love Mary Poppins, but a lot of the Rogers and Hammerstein types just don't do much for me. I have no…
In high school, I read a SPIN article about weird albums, and bought Trout Mask Replica. Didn't ever really listen to it much, but I did spend awhile promoting the Captain to my classmates (partly for the comedic effect). Still a little proud of that.
"Smooth" is hardwired into my emotional tree-rings because it was on the radio at the same time that I was finding my affections unrequited by the object of them, in high school. I can't separate it from that. As far as Rob Thomas, I generally like most of his stuff, at least in the early days; I think that "Smooth"…
I've also got that perspective on the potential probable pitfalls of meeting one's heroes.
