Well, the Deadpool thing is kind of a late-film development, so I didn't want to say anything. Same with Emma Frost, though she's not really what you're expecting from Emma Frost, either. Why Cyclops was in this at all I'm not sure. There are a lot of elements that seem to be like set-ups for sequels and spin-offs but

This is like some kind of bizarre STAR WARS / CABARET crossover fanfic.

Very soon.

No lie: Nathan has a lovely singing voice.

A sidenote
We recorded it this yesterday before last night's PARKS AND RECREATION episode. I didn't dig it so much—though others, including Scott and Nathan and a lot of readers—disagreed. But, regardless, I still think the show has all kinds of potential.

Typo above:

Could happen. (I have a very strong advocate and for young adult literature and library services available to young adult readers in my life.)

Me too. We're planning on using Coveritlive, the same service we used for the Oscars liveblog, only with user comments turned on and incorporated. We'll see how it goes.

Addition
Just watched it again. Awesomeness I failed to mention:

The problem I have with reading the end of KOC or TAXI DRIVER or this as fantasy is that there's no indication that we've entered fantasy land, stylistic or otherwise. I tend to think of each of them as the world warping to reflect the twisted psyche of the protagonist.

Well, if I'm reading bascule correctly, he's suggesting that all SF has to do with living in the final days of the British Empire. And, yes, I agree. It does. All of it.

Curtis: I've got a DVD of that OSBOURNES RELOADED first episode I could send you.

That was him, wasn't it? I didn't recognize him at first.

There was something like a greatest-hits collection of his short stories published around the time of AI. It was called… [looking on Amazon]… "Supertoys Last All Summer Long: And Other Stories of Future Time." I think I just read the AI-inspiring stories, however, so I can't speak to the rest. I'm curious about his

I think most of us are in the pro-AI camp. I know Scott and Nathan and I are. I'll ask Tasha and Noel tomorrow.

Hey, look. It disappeared.

You know what had a good pilot? STUDIO 60. You know what turned into a lousy series? (See previous.)

We usually post about first episodes before the show airs when we get a chance to see them early. The first posts are more about reviewing the show, subsequent posts are about summing up a shared experience.

I think it's a U.S./U.K. thing. It's a fairly common headline style—and something I only see in headlines—that THE ONION has made much hay with over the years. My wording was an homage to that.

And I thought no one would notice!
