Grade seems kind of harsh. I mean, the movie's awful, but in a really goofy, fun way. It's definitely one of my top "Drop everything movies." ( http://www.avclub.com/artic… )

Agreed. Thought it would be awesome-bad, but just bad-bad.

So Plemons was Landry for five seasons, is now on Breaking Bad, and listens to Zappa? Awesome.

I still have my VHS copy of Army of Darkness, and Hard Target is one of the previews. That dialogue clip is used, against a backdrop of a "contemporary" version of "Born on the Bayou." (I think she actually says, "What kind of a name is Chance?")

I'm seeing lots of mentions of The Others here in the comments, but for
my money, it was well outdone by The Devil's Backbone. Much, much
better than The Others, I thought (biased hatred against Nicole Kidman
notwithstanding). So my question is, if you've seen Devil's Backbone,
how does The Awakening measure up?

@MistakenCheeseSandwich - I wonder if Zappa intended that title as a double entendre? (It's a touch distasteful, even by his standards.)

Hell fucking yeah.
Hell fucking yeah.
Love this flick enough that I occasionally stop by here to check in and softly sob at my pre-registration posts, above.
