I loved those Sniglets books when I was around 10 years old.  I even sent in my own using the coupon in the back.  I'm guessing they were pretty horrible.

It may just be my contrarian nature, or the fact that I haven't seen it as frequently as Airplane! or Naked Gun, but I've always liked Top Secret best.  Maybe also because it's the most absurdist comedy of the bunch.

I think 2 1/2 reused the most material (ie "Is this a bust?" etc).  The first Naked Gun had a couple of the running gags, but not as much word for word re-uses.  And all the good stuff in 33 1/3 (the Oscars) was new.
