I've always thought that their 90s output was underrated, simply because they never improved on Master of Puppets (try as they might've with …And Justice For All).

It's not a popular opinion amongst GBV fans, but IMO the lofi aesthetic just hides how good the songs could be. Glad Girls and Skills Like This aren't the best songs they've done, but they're the ones that are the most enjoyable to listen to.

Non-lofi GBV/Pollard is the best GBV/Pollard.
