Well, the central/titular question can be answered simply: What you enjoy listening to and your core belief system are don't necessarily have to go hand in hand. Heller's love of Gospel music has nothing to do with belief and everything to do with how the genre tends to use the art form to express emotion.

Of all the cliched answers one could give to this question, Freebird is absolutely the worst one. I genuinely dislike the Freebird solo. It's not so much that it's bad, it's just really lazy and uninspired when you compare the solo itself to all the love it gets.
