The Connells covering Bob Seger's "Night Moves" at a show on my undergrad campus in the early '90s remains a favorite concert experience for me.

Steve Carrell seems like a genuinely decent, nice guy, & I consider myself a fan of his work, but I found the ep of the Nerdist pretty dull. Ben Schwartz was a lot more fun.
Yes, that would have been a good way to do it. It was late & I was tired.

(Stupid disqus won't let me post a blank comment as mute Teller.)
Seuss did a ton of stuff before & during WWII. He especially took on the isolationists who wanted the US to stay out of it (lots of cartoons of ostriches with their heads in the sand).
I remember Wifey being surreptitiously circulated when I was in junior high (early-to-mid '80s), especially among the girls. Now that I'm a teacher, I'm positive there were teachers who knew it was going around, & just chose to let the kids learn a little something (something) on the side.
Please don't encourage them.
Isn't that just The Jetsons?
You know I've had my share.
I'll see your honky & raise you a jive turkey.
Lisa Turtle!
I always heard it as "Hangin' in and jivin'"
You're so ugly, I could stick your face in some dough & make some gorilla cookies!
I'm like Jimmy Walker, I'm…
I didn't catch the prostate massager bit, Zoidberg—just the Adam & Eve plug, which I figured could have been him parodying the ridiculousness of his shilling (which is often how his plugs read, anyway).
Some of these posts are quite convincing, @avclub-41a18ddee3e9688b753c1da19644e745:disqus, but lower down there's a giveaway post. So, it COULD have been the real Maron, but it ain't.
Well, my kids are 8 and 5, so they got none of the references, & they still loved it. I just turned 43, so I got a lot of 'em but missed others. I do think one can ""really ebjoy it" without getting the references, but there's no doubt you'll enjoy it MORE if you do get 'em.
OK, now I know this isn't the real Maron. The other posts above did a good enough job to at least leave the possibility open, but this one's too obvious a parody. Too bad….
