@avclub-56584778d5a8ab88d6393cc4cd11e090:disqus: No, Gabrielle Carteris is the oldest.  Wikipedia sez she's 51 (!), & is 3 years older than Ziering.

Good one, @avclub-752a6fc94c80ba4f8b2dc8506fcc87f3:disqus —'cause now RANDY don't know where he'll be tomorrow!

No you didn't, @avclub-f079b53bcfcde2c125cc74ced47bfbcd:disqus —it still says "Opening participial phrase".  Anyway, you needn't rein* in your grammar nerdiness here—we're fellow travelers.

Also, in the sample, it sounds like it's from a sit-com, the reaction he gets—it's hard to tell if it's an audience or other actors, but it REALLY sounds like a sit-com laugh track.  Context!  We need context!

You know, I usually don't enjoy your posts—I don't DISlike them, they just don't do much for me, & so I have gotten into the habit of skimming/ignoring (skimnoring?) them.  But these two, right here?  These are truly excellent.  From now on, no more skimnoring—I'll actually read 'em!

That, & it actually made sense.  I disagree, but I could at least follow the argument, & understand why someone would feel that way.

@avclub-d783823cc6284b929c2cd8df2167d212:disqus : There are quite a lot of Native Americans here around the Twin Cities, which was interesting to observe when I first moved out here, since I grew up in PA, where we drove the natives away centuries ago.

Though we were "too old" for it, 90210 was great so-bad-it's-good TV.  When I was in grad school ('92-94) we'd have friends over on Monday nights to watch 90210 & Melrose Place, enjoy some adult beverages, & snark away.
