Plenty of younger kids enjoy the movies (well, let's say half of the movies), but yeah, the the younger generations haven't elevated them to the same level of untouchable spiritual perfection that my stupid generation has.

I'm really looking forward to the big Life Day episode!

I really want this to be good.  The writer-director, Leslye Headland, was one of my students, back at my first job (though she switched schools before graduation).  She was a sharp, clever kid even then, & did a really great Audrey in our school's production of Little Shop of Horrors.  She also wrote for "Terriers",

Good call on The Fly, @avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus!  I haven't seen it in full since its original release, but have often thought I should.  If it holds up anywhere near as well as Carpenter's The Thing, I'll be plenty happy.

I haven't seen the original Blob, but I genuinely enjoyed the '80s version.  Good call. @avclub-7f538a2a6877984c16a663af38fb84d3:disqus!

I have mixed feelings about remakes.  Part of me wants them to succeed, especially if I liked the premise of the original, & especially especially if the newer technology can make real improvements.  Part of me wants them to be shitty, so they can be dismissed & forgotten.  Unsurprisingly, the latter part of me

Hey Scott, how's Aisha Tyler in this?  I love her voice work on Archer, & I enjoy her podcast, but I haven't seen her act in very many things.  She seems cool when playing herself, but I haven't seen her in enough stuff to get  a sense of her as an actress.
