Even for movies I'm super excited about, I'm OK with missing opening weekend.  (I'll be seeing Spider-Man on Saturday.)  My only must is seeing a movie like this on the big screen—doesn't even have to be 3D or IMAX.  I'll probably get to this by mid-August or so.
