If we all just used our own words (like big boys), how would we quote The Simpsons?!

littlebluesue,
That's what I was thinking. It seems that McCarthy makes a point to show us graphic violence in all its ugliness, but pedophilia (as far I recall) is never shown, only implied.
The only reference that jumped out at this heathen was the burning tree. I suppose I should go to Sunday school more often.
Favorite line of the book?
He speaks in stones and trees, the bones of things.
i scanned all over and was very disappointed to see this wasn't mentioned anywhere. not only does eastwood lay waste to half of the third reich, but it's also got a ridiculous richard burton and an incredible score.
Cloud Atlas is the bomb. I'd be down for re-reading it. The post-future Hawaiian section haunts me.
I felt kinda cheated by the ending of Life of Pi. Maybe I should go back and re-read it…
It's over 900 pages long, but The Crimson Petal and the White is definitely one of my favorite novels of all time.
Neuromancer would be great. Short read but hella good.
So…Locke = smoke monster?
He came outta the jungle when Ben "summoned" the smoke monster. Ben confirmed that, well, dead is dead. And Locke instinctively knew the way to the Temple.
north carolina is quite nice, actually
especially the raleigh area, where epic ultramegagames is situated.
Hmm, I've never had the misfortune to buy tickets through Ticketmaster. Most of the clubs and venues in North Carolina go through E-tix, which is an okay website I guess (like an infant Ticketmaster). They still charge convenience fees to print at home, but it's usually like $3.
Actually, I imagine it's a lot more work to design a procedural generation system that churns out balanced, playable platform levels, rather than Diablo's system which just strings rooms together.
Maybe I shoulda read the review first.
Been playing this since December…
Took me probably 150-200 deaths until I finally got to the boss. The **SPOILER** shortcut tunnels are extremely useful.
I'm not much of a football (or sports) fan…
But I enjoy watching the Superbowl. Being teamless, I have chosen to root for the Cardinals based on my dinner tonight: southwest chicken with red beans and rice.
