i think this show and Louie operate on different levels but that doesn't necessarily mean Louie always works on a higher or better level. It has become so bleakly cynical, focused on the weird over the well rounded or real.

I missed the Megan mentioned but I'm glad the show didn't forget the fact that Patrick's brother-in-law and Jon were good friends. Did Patrick just assume that the world would accept his relationship Kevin because it looked like a match on paper?

I hope it gets at least that if not a third season. Hello Ladies got one and it wrapped up the show nicely. But Enlightened* didn't so I'm starting to wonder if that was just a bone thrown to Hello Ladies since it didn't get a second season when most HBO comedies do get as second chance.

I think it has always been a Patrick-centered show. Last season's Ep 5 convinced me of it and the fact that both love interests were promoted to regulars solidified it.
