maybe this has already been said, but there was no murder over the bed - the guy (who i believe is the guy who got killed this episode) choked the other guy just until he passed out. the choked out guy is alive, saw rick, and will surely be recognizing him next episode.

i was pretty sure kenya was gone when i found out she had to lsfyl against latrice, and 100% sure when i found out what the song was! but the eyeroll at the wigrip was great. that was sort of cool ONCE, the first time shannel did it in season 1. sorta. but ever since then it's struck me as cheap(er) and desperate(r).

i think gemma's dad's motivation for turning in henry is because he is NOT going to expose the ponzi scheme. because if he does, he'll lose his investment. in the scene where henry gave him the flash drive, he pretty much telegraphed  that. so he wants henry in a position where he can't tattle. although blackmail

"Did Latrice say she baked that hair? If so, can someone explain?"

after the show, tom tweeted this: "Close. Arugula is what happens when you really don't have anything negative to say"

in any case, nice to hear that george lopez got cancelled!

i was *really* surprised that miles wasn't on the bottom in this challenge. the only difference between his piece and jaclyn's is that his looked decent aesthetically.

yeah, the mormons do it, the amish do it, even smaller groups like the hutterites/society of brothers do it.

recycled jokes
this is the *second* time they've shown james making the same joke twice this season - last episode he made the tux & pajamas joke while eating the food and then again at the judges' table. the first time, he cracked himself up too, which was funnier than the joke itself.

the explanation for sayid's sudden turnaround may very well be that he's "infected", the way rousseau's crewmates were, the way claire may be. the way dogen said he was. the infection reached his heart, dude!

yes!! i've been shocked at the lack of coverage of drag race on here! i figured it at least would have merited an "other shows" entry, but if the search function is working correctly it's only been mentioned in a couple of ANTM writeups.

yeah but when they go out the window of adelle's office in epitaphs 1 &2, they go up a ladder. i've wondered about the logistics of that as well.

i always assumed that whiskey released poison gas and died along with the butchers. to think anything else, given the information supplied in the episode, seems like a pretty large logical leap to me. you could actually see the gas, whatever it was, which rules out co2.

"actually, I've been trying to remember lately if he calls her Echo or Caroline, that's definitely significant now"

that is basically what it was. i feel asleep less than halfway through. they did show marcel telling off toby young (i guess at the "all stars" competition thing?) which was pretty gratifying.

was there a requirement that the food be gluten free? i didn't catch that in the episode. all she said was "vegetarian", not even vegan. it was the chefs' choice to refrain from using cheese, eggs, or even grains (and very few of them used legumes) - at least two of them did use butter (jennifer had a beurre something

usually the production team stocks whatever cooking venue they're using with extra supplies. remember the frozen scallops scandal a couple of seasons back, where spike dissed some restaurant owner dude for having frozen scallops in his restaurant? it was revealed via blogs that it was people from the show who actually

there's been tofu too - hector did really well with a tofu ceviche in the bachelor/bachelorette party episode. and i think carla won a quickfire with grilled tofu.

actually, bayless says on his blog that none of them had watched every season. he said that they didn't really know who to pick except that no one wanted spike cause he seemed like a dick (in so may words).

seriously, i don't get why vegans aren't allowed to criticize the food. it's a competition. the diners always criticize the food if they don't like it. should they have just been like "wow, i am so grateful that someone stooped to accomodate my weirdo diet" and said everything was great? how on earth would that fit
