I'd also consider how the other actors in the film fare- is it something that is a problem just with this actor, or does it seem that a substantial number are struggling in this film?

Mind you, I'd half-worry that, if they did earlier periods of film, they'd unduly pick on performances in styles which have dated, rather than actually bad acting….

The level of acting it takes hard work to reach!

And can you please not wave that at the staff?
