Hmm I guess TV Club is not going to review this season, aside from the first episode? That's a shame because I'm enjoying this season more so than the previous two, which I found intolerable, but watched anyway.
The last few episodes have been great. I'm enjoying this newly, truly sober Jackie. I like the introduction

My overall impression of this season is that it sucked in earnest the second Andrew Rannells departed, but saw some bright spots when Hannah was nowhere in sight (and dumbass Marnie was in the background).
Shoshanna, Ray and Adam are much more interesting than Hannha and Marnie…wait there was that one chick…oh yeah,

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!!! One million percent agree. Dunham could have pushed Hannah much further if she didn't attempt acting, but hey she got a Golden Globe and that means she a great actress, right?

I agree that someone should have died in this episode but the Governor can't go out like that - it's too easy. I'm hoping he was bit, as many have suggested. That would be an interesting turn.
I also agree I owe drivel an apology. I see Girls received a B+ when that episode was clearly a fucking F for treacly,

This is an A episode in my estimation. Sure it would have been awesome to see either Andrea or the Governor die a really nasty death. Personally, I'm hoping the speculum and other sundry gyno oriented tools are used to some grotesque effect in the next or last episode. That's probably wishful thinking, but one can

This was an A episode. Not sure how it warrants a B, when drivel like Girls gets As every damn week. Every week ,without fail and it's a shitty show. Anyway!
Poor Andrea, I've hated her for so long but for all the ways I imagined her dying, a speculum shoved up her vag was not  one of them.

Well I don't have the energy to speculate as to why vicksisamonster persists in the same line of ranting week after week, but I am beginning to believe it's an act.

You state the same thing every week, every week without fail, so much so that I am beginning to believe you're actually Lena Dunham or her mom. ;)

Poor Mike White.

Very well stated! I'm also 41 and i thought it totally plausible he would. I mean she threw herself at him and she's 24 year old trim! What 40 year old due would turn that down? Maybe a few but most would welcome the opportunity.

The reason why it gets so much hate is because it gets so much praise.

No, I don't think the show would be better per se, but it would be much easier to take Hannah seriously, especially as a would-be hero for girls who look like her. I mean, she isn't ugly by any means and cleans up nicely! She just has a dump truck ass and small tits. She's actually a very cute girl, but why does she

Welllllll I don't know about the nudity being merely self deprecating, and for a whole lot of reasons regarding the male gaze blah blah blah. Also neither David nor Louie has ever been naked - ever. And I hope that never happens! I'm just not ready for old balls swinging about, but then that would be revolutionary,

I'd like to point out that Lena is actually not overweight. She is not obese either. What she is is a big bottomed girl (they have been know to make the rockin' world go round) with hefty thighs but that scene on the kitchen island and showed some tone. So she isn't altogether in an unhealthy state, she's just

This is my first time posting, though I read TV Club reviews and comments each week.  I've been so conflicted about this show, primarily because the characters, Hannah especially, are so familiar to me.  I lived in Brooklyn and the absolutely awesome Astoria in Queens (I miss my pre-war apartment!) in the mid 2000s

No, both seasons are now available for streaming. I've watched and re-watched them. One of the best shows ever….sigh.
