I've never actually played a bethesda game without cheats. Never really saw the point.

On a Mountain Goats note, ever since Morel Orel, No Children just gives me straight flashbacks of every devastating curveball that brilliant show threw at us.

PAGING LORD & MILLER & ALLEN FOR A SPINOFF

I think you kinda lost the thread a couple replies back, bud, haha. It's alright, some people are a little dumb! Just part of life.

I'll most definitely be there! Super excited.

Don't forget "Juan Kinda Likes Tacos"!

God, this is such an incredible show. Those three are an absolute gift to humanity.

I forgot how shitty the avclub commentariat gets at times. Jeez louise.

Whatever, dude. Guess we run in different parts of the city or something where whistling doesn't exist or something?

But… he totally did…? https://www.youtube.com/wat…
Like, it's a pitch-perfect WWII style military march with the soaring horns of the best superhero scores. I'm genuinely shocked and disappointed to hear so many people not remembering it on here.

I've passed a good number of people whistling it while just walking around Chicago. It's incredibly distinctive and immediately recognizable.

I… what? The Avengers: AoU score was LITERALLY half-composed by Elfman himself, which featured one of the more iconic ostinatos from the past half a decade. People sing the Cap theme all the time, and orchestras perform it on a regular basis. Even if you don't like it, the Eno-esque machine music-y Winter Soldier

After watching the video a couple of times, I'm still struggling to understand where they're coming from by suggesting a divergent use of theme music in the scores. Like, The First Avenger, the Avengers, Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy all have incredibly distinct themes and ostinatos that are worked in

I'd argue Step Up wasn't his best work, but aside from that… pretty much perfect across the board.

Between this, Da Vinci's Demons, and Outlander, Starz really stole the show for gorgeously produced fantasy-ish drama. Bring on American Gods, I can't wait!

YES. Yes. Very much yes. About 95% for the Bear McCreary score, but the other 5% for being a kickass popcorn-y adventure drama.

For the record, I'm absolute loving AIM so far. It's damn good.

Crunchwrap Supreme is my first and only true fast food love. Those things check ever fucking box in the book for me.

AVClub is turning into Gawker so slowly they thought we'd never notice.

I loved that one, too! Joins the ranks of the criminally underseen SNL runoff crowd.
