I went for a run in the morning, then read for school and drank a couple glasses of red wine on my deck in the afternoon.  Tried to work through the guitar tab for "Paint it Black".  An inconsequential but pleasant day nonetheless.

There are some decent character moments in S2, but it's not so good as a whole.  Trust me on this - everything that comes after it is worth the trouble.  Your memories of S2 will disappear like they were hit with a pipe and thrown from a bridge.

Finished reading Peter Heller's The Dog Stars, which I liked well enough.  I thought it got a lot of its emotional beats right, a fairly easy read, held its airs of both imminent danger and overarching dread pretty well.

I kind of worry about her.  I guess I just keep thinking "maybe this year Fiona will get it together" and then things like this happen, even as this incident sounds at least somewhat defensible.
