I'd say Game of Thrones is gory, but Hannibal is chilling to the bone. The violence you get in Hannibal plays way more on your psyche than something that just grosses you out? It's visceral and mentally disturbing rather than physically disturbing.

Hannibal is the most gorgeous show on tv.
D: that sucks
Myles McAlmond!
Yeah that too. If Acevedo's character did buy the governor's way of thinking so much he could excuse him for murdering his brother…then wouldn't he fucking kill the governor (who's unstable and a liability at camp if he's just murdering people left and right) so he can be in control of camp and protect his flock?
But he's still a one dimensional cartoony villain in exactly the same way as before. He opened up for one episode, only to get back to exactly the same way as woodbury. He had people to protect, and he will do anything to protect his group at the expense of anyone who crosses his path. He is still an entirely one…
I hated this episode. They've wasted two episodes on basically saying, oh yeah, the governor is still crazy in the same one dimensional cartoony villain way, and we're getting another governor vs prison mid season finale for no reason at all other than: the governor is still crazy.
No kidding. This is like some sick sad dream where the tv club became unusable. One of the strongest selling points of the av club - besides the writers who write the review - IS the ease of use of the website.(for e.g. I love Sepinwall, but when he first moved to hitfix, hitfix was difficult to navigate and it took a…
As much as I love Happy Endings, I was very meh on the episode when Coach comes back - but this episode did a much better job integrating him - like how it flowed much more naturally (like the dumpling flick off with Nick and Coach) - so good that I think it's definitely a benefit for the show to have him around.
that was a very impactful comment!
Ugh, the governor. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY NO ONE CARES BRING BACK CAROL
" (That scene is so great. Lisa Kudrow hits her stride in this episode playing Josie, and the speech is so dead-on accurate that I have lost my critic hat and am instead just fangirling about it.)"
I was checking out Todd's old blog and only then noticed that his initials are TV (I always have thought of it as TVDW instead, lol) .
" Given how often the procedural cases are similar to one another or to the basic generic forms of crime procedurals more broadly, shouldn’t we celebrate when that results in meaningful scenes between our regular characters? "
I finally like Fred, and also I like them giving Ming and Jake, two characters who rarely interact, scenes for a change.
<333333333 I watched this so many times as a child and remember thinking how awesome it was Garfield could smush his leg into a peg leg.
About him too, given his history with his father, he marries a woman who calls him daddy.
yeah, but he's still around. can't he be around the same amount of time as he is now, but with everyone else? And given that Segal's role is reduced, how does the show not use that to their advantage and give us more of the mother?
Currently, this show doesn't deserve Bret and Jemaine to be in it. It didn't deserve Murray in it.
"If Marshall doesn’t want to keep secrets from Lily, shouldn’t she reciprocate by not holding his confessions against him? "
