I was at their Benaroya Hall show in 2003, where they did "Low Light," which I'd never even heard of them playing live up until then. You could hear the entire crowd go quiet for the first few notes, like "Are they really doing this?" and then collectively *lose their shit* when the first chord hit. It was beautiful.

The Wrens are my favorite band, and I'm thrilled (though late to the party) to see that someone mentioned them! I was scrolling through the comments thinking "No Wrens, really?"

I'm super-late to this, but I was formulating a reply singing the praises of Goodness as I read the article. Same singer, slightly poppier sound, killer hooks. They were amazing, but no one outside of Seattle seems to have heard of them.
