tearing up at the end of Iroh's Tale is a Turning test.

I remember thoroughly enjoying it, Sisco as a mob boss (!), but does it hold up still?

Many hours were lost to DA…

Because those that are most alike fight the most over their differences.

Thank you! Something about this movie was nagging at me and that's it!

Impersonating The Boulder?

While I reflexively dislike any claims that assert there's any character with as much development and depth as Zuko… you make a good point.

That's an excellent lesson and there's no doubt that there could be a really good episode built around the bittersweet feeling of helping jerks. But I feel that Avatar Day (and the Great Divide) don't really deal with that question; we just *wish* they dealt with that question.

On second thought, just let me drown.

I actually thought it was a gimmick poster too. Not quite curious enough to check out the website, but close.

Or the audience yawning continually through The Drill

innocent passerby: Zuko's over-the-top anime hair is brilliant, but was it as brilliant as Jet having a flower in his mouth and hooks for hands?

Azula's sidekicks (and the contrast to the Aang Gang) is a brilliant plot device. I haven't rewatched a ton of episodes (possibly soon to be rectified) but 'The Beach' where they really deepen those characters is a top 5 for me.

We could get really meta and rate the ship-o-meter ratings?

No you're not crazy. In fact, there's a lot of emphasis on hair (Aang's shaven head, Katara's hair loops, the crown of the Fire Lord is a hair comb, even Sakka's "wolftail")

Possibly the best fan comic ever
Someone posted this last week and I clicked with trepidation (deviantart? Shudder)

MP, I'm glad you're stepping up to the plate here. Definitely two strong episodes for HMS Kataang.

Good foreshadowing of Iroh's knife in "Zuko Alone" too. Excellent, excellent moment.

Other prime lines
No! I'm saying that I would kiss you if the only other choice was death!

'The Beach' showed both sides of Azula really well, especially when she snapped at Zuko, "Answer the question Zu-Zu!!" The mix of the nickname, command, contempt, and impatience was just nailed. Like E.Eel, Pomple, and Tearin point out, it certainly curdled a little too quickly.
