If this movie features a Bollywood-style dance number to "Come On, Eileen," I…probably still won't go see it. But it'd be more likely.

Yes. They [people making the show] set up that whole bit so it could get them to the result they wanted with very little apparent thought into how to do so honestly.

Right. And the thing is, I'm not straight, and I actually would really enjoy seeing more non-straight people and relationships presented on TV.

Oh, yeah! I don't know if it's still on Netflix, but I saw it there a while back. It's such a delight watching him play someone in love.

Well… with a bit of "you BASTARD."

I am actually almost outraged at a downvote on this sentiment.

Did anyone else think they need to be better about how they set up the bonfire scene?

The guy = Anderson

I agree.

The thing is, we've taken away all the things that *can* possibly have happened, so I suppose the only thing that's left, even thought it seems *really weird*, must be the the thing that did happen in fact!

It AGES him.

More Rupert Graves in everything, all the time.

I can maybe see a gay writer getting irritated with non-gay fans who are overly enthusiastic about homosocial stuff and male intimacy in the show. Some of that "We're actually people, not a fetish" thing. So the writer might want to put in reminders, "Well, you're not getting it."

I had a hard time with them using the "best and wisest man I've ever known" from this John to this Sherlock.

SPOILERS

Yep. Problem would've been solved a lot sooner if Sherlock hadn't blundered into the office.

Sherlock's last vow was protecting John and Mary. He wanted Magnussen dead so Mary was protected, and he didn't want John to be guilty of murder.

It's the acupuncture of the legal system.

Or the Kazakhs. So…I guess the Dothraki.

Everything you're saying is right and true. However, it didn't quite bother me too much. Maybe it's partly because Sherlock seemed so dedicated to John and Mary working out.
