I actually saw "Chinatown" when I was younger and had no idea of Polanski's past.  Sadly, I saw "the Ghost Writer" with no earthly idea that Polanski had made it, but I regretted it almost immediately (it wasn't very good).

I believe stoners refer to them as 'oos.

Well, the explaining part was cool, but it could do with a little less attitude…

That's what it was for me—a combination of completionism and habit.  I broke it not too long ago when it became too damn expensive.  I bought these (and Hit Girl #1) at a show recently, but I can't imagine getting back into collecting, even with the hugely discounted online sites.  It's still just far, far too

Actually, I think businesses tend to look at sales numbers more than reviews to determine if something was a success or not…

If they manage to come out on time then they'll have something to claim they did better than the original Watchmen did…I will never forget the excrutiating 3 to 5 month wait between the last few issues of that series…

The existence of Godfather III doesn't make The Godfather or The Godfather II bad movies.

I'd agree….except for Darwyn Cooke's involvement.  Both of his books are very good and feel like they belong in the same universe…I feel pretty sure by the time this is all said and done I'll wish he had written them all.  He seems to truly get and care about the source material.

That was truly awful.  I didn't mind this book much…until the introduction of Rorshach, when it went right of the rails and into the fucking ravine…

Also, the art is pretty damn great.  I think of all the books so far I've enjoyed Silk Spectre the most (with Ozymandias a close second, although I could have read that one without the words and would have liked it almost as much).
