They do have the trilogys seperated into sets of 3, at surprisingly comparable prices, so yeah, if you just want the originals (such as they are) you can get just those for $50 or so.

Also, we got a shitload of nukes still.

Actually I know Avatar sold almost 4 million it's first week of release, but I assume this set counts as at least "six" sold per set…

Particularly the Japanese.  If you're talking actual excrement of young schoolgirls I mean.

(dramatic pause)

There's 7 (I think) extras discs.  And amazingly they still leave some things out.

I will eventually own every damn edit ever of these movies.  So, yes, I'm part of the problem.  That being said Episode III may be the best looking movie I've ever seen on Blu-Ray.

While I agree with most of your statement, I would add that the one movie I watched from Amazon's service in HD was pretty strong in picture quality, although I didn't run it through my surround so I assume the sound had the same limitations as netflix.

You can get an entry level blu-ray player for $50 these days.

Agreed—Blu-Rays are the shit if you actually want the best picture available…trouble is, far too many people are like my wife and think, "eh, good enough."  Then they think that about their TV's as well.

It is most definitely the refresh rate on the TV and not the Blu-Ray player—it's one of the reasons that some HD TV's cost more than others (granted, one of the hardest reasons to discern when facing a wall of TV's at Best Buy, but still, it's a good couple-hundred dollar difference sometimes).

The fail is strong in you.

I will take the over, since (much like 2 and a Half Ashtons) the dirtiest thing they can get away with seems to be the shows "go to" joke.

I wanted to like that show for reason's other than Ms Denning's breasts, but I just couldn't do it.

I was thinking Barton Fink as well…

That's exactly my take on every fad that comes through this show—they saw it months after everyone else did and did it without realizing the rest of the world has moved on…It's been a running theme for a while.

Oh don't be such a right-sider.

Even DC seems not to know what to do with him most of the time….He's a great idea that I'm not sure has ever been handled correctly.

Thanks!

Dissenting opinions are pretty much marginalized everywhere. If they weren't, they wouldn't be dissenting.
