I have the Criterion DVD and it is a very nice transfer. I would like to upgrade to the Blu-ray at some point, though.

I don't really buy it myself, but it seems that a number of critics (and even commenters here) have labeled him and Fincher as such. I've enjoyed all of Nolan's films, and loved Interstellar.

No, the movie still would not have won. Kubrick was waaaaay ahead of the curve with that film, and the Academy was not prepared for that mind-bender of a flick.
