I'll have to take the flip side: I hate this movie. The flat narration (I still often say, flatly and apropos to nothing, "If he comes calling tomorrow, I will name him Two Socks"), Costner's performance overall, the generically badly written/acted soldiers. Only until The Patriot came along did I find a historical

Most definitely worth seeing. The effects - what there are - are dated…but they don't do a disservice to the film. Great flick, probably the first time I saw Gabriel Byrne in anything.
RIP Mr. Terry

I have the episode guide to STNG, and remember that Roddenberry had included in her character bio that Dr. Crusher "had the walk of a strip-tease artist" or something similar. Yeah, he was a fucking jerk.

About 10 years ago - at the company I used to work for - one of the sales people came up to me and asked, "You like Star Trek, right?". Of I course I replied to the affirmative, and she told me she had lunch over the weekend with a woman that used to be on ST, but couldn't remember her name. By the description I knew

PantsGoblin is right with the "All Betts…".
Also, try a Smoky Paloma. You'll also need Tequila and Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka. Quite tasty.

Is it me or does he look like an older, slightly more bad-ass version of Corey Feldman in that photo?

Well, that just makes it easier for kids to find indecent recordings.

Me too, just to get M. Night's "The Village" out of head.

Works ok, but I synced up with Ednaswap's original version of Torn, and it works a lot better. The original is moodier and fits the tone.

Dik, that's exactly what I had planned on doing. I decided to kill myself when I was 14 (in '78). I planned to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. So, I left my best friend a note (it didn't reveal my specific plans), and my most cherished possession's, and took a bus from my town a few hours from SF. From the bus

Damn you, now I have to listen to The Cure.

Shia LeBeef.

Curious if any of you recall the British Robin Hood series that aired on Showtime during the early-or-possibly-middle 80's. I found it very enjoyable (until they killed Robin off and replaced him with I believe a bland-blonde guy). Very gritty and if memory serves often grounded in historical fact of British goings-on

I'd watch this due to the fact I have an enormous crush on Lori Laughlin. Have since I first saw her in "Secret Admirer" with the great C. Thomas Howell.

So he's played by Idris Elba?

Hmmm…….tear-away petticoat you say?

I had a girlfriend that did the same thing. I shouldn't have let her go to bars alone.

Oh, he's made many good films. I can't say I've seen them all the way through though, I usually finish before they do.
