One of my favorite great idea/terrible execution movies is ZARDOZ, but I kind of think it would be terrible to remake it. Although, the great idea in it is pretty directly inspired by part of Gulliver's Travels, so it could be used without trying to actually remake ZARDOZ. So I confused myself but I think I agree?
I don't know which I like better, Kareem's performance as the Archangel of Basketball in "Slam Dunk Ernest", or his performance on upright bass in Stephen Colbert's "Hiphopketball: A Jazzebration". Luckily, nobody would ever make me choose between these things.
so you're saying the Chinese are Spaceballs?
It took me a while to get used to him because he's so into literal anti-comedy, i.e. saying the least funny thing possible/doing whatever will stop a bit from escalating, which is completely opposite of how improv and a lot of other comedy forms are supposed to work. Ever since I figured out that was his bit I really…
But he's got such a lil face. He's like an insane cherub or something.
The Liz and Dick version was used for a really cool study where the researchers had neurotypical adults and adults with autism watch the movie while their eye movements were tracked, and they found that people with autism were looking at totally irrelevant stuff like light switches and lamps instead of the actor's…
One of my favorite stories is that Bill Hader's SNL audition included him doing an impression of James Mason trying to buy donuts with an expired coupon.
You can't really blame him for being overshadowed by John Malkovich's masterful performance as the evil Galbatorix, the whole of which was obviously shot on one set in one day.
The Rifftrax of Batman and Robin is amazing - you've got Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, AND Bane, plus Alfred dying of "Stage 1 McGregor's syndrome", plus the whole thing looks like it was filmed in a LaserQuest. The movie is pretty hilarious on its own but definitely worth watching with Rifftrax too.

I guess the part that bothers me about them is that they're just really fast so they're hard to catch and also startling, whereas scorpions and centipedes…
