Dr. Spaceman's Dee-ah-buh-tays?

@avclub-ecbdad96460f85751944de9d6c2d50fe:disqus  I've actually never been stung by a bee or scorpion, but I'm extremely sensitive to ant and mosquito bites (extreme swelling, eczema all over my body, have gotten blood poisoning a few times from ants).  When I was little my pediatrician gave my parents an epi-pen kit

I'm pretty cool with most bugs and spiders, in that if they're in my house it doesn't bother me to pick them up in a tupperware and put em outside (or if they're outside I like looking at them), but the few that I cannot stand are cockroaches, centipedes, and scorpions.  Just something about the way they move is

In a similar fashion I discovered that the motto for Reno, NV is iambic pentameter too.  "The BIGgest LITtle CIty IN the WORLD"

This.  I'm familiar with a couple of Lady Gaga's bigger hits but otherwise don't know much about her music, but despite being poorly informed I really like arguing with people that Lady Gaga is just a pop star but Bjork is an ARTIST.

also, the music at the very beginning and very end (ghost children theme, i guess) is so effective even though it's nothing like what i'd expect for those scenes/the intended emotional punch.

Or do "Colonel Angus" because then we get to talk to Tina Fey (also I love that sketch)

I think it was the Judd Apatow episode of WTF that he told a story of Bob Odenkirk being really intense in a writers room - I think it was someone pitched an idea that was kind of half baked and Bob screamed, "who wrote this, your unfunny uncle?!"  Imagining him yelling that at me is both terrifying and hilarious.

Cover?  I thought "Heartbeats" was theirs originally, and there's a moderately well known cover by Jose Gonzalez…

Star Wars/WALL-E crossover, all droids

@avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus  or else someone will instagram a screenshot of it and it'll be all over tumblr and then your life on the net is ruined!

yeah i think if you only "kind of like" it you're safe. like, have it on your ipod, but don't "like" it on facebook.

keep it together, dude!  keep it together you stupid dude!

his parents were "technically brothers"

@avclub-da496e2db2e50a068b4ae5549d4ae1b0:disqus  it's been a while since I saw it, but I thought I remembered them using pairs like bare/bear, which are homophones and not homonyms.

I've always liked 30 Rock best when it's willing to be aggressively weird.  Kenneth doesn't always work for me as a character, but goddamn do I love any reference to him being immortal or supernatural.

I really liked "Leap Day" but otherwise didn't love season 6.  Except that I really appreciate that they somehow got the name "Gaylord Felcher" past standards and practices (and that the character is in charge of s&p).

Favorite Dr. Spaceman lines (off the top of my head)
"I don't know how to say this…dee-ah-buh-tays?"
"Science is anything we want it to be"
"I've administered the epidural…do you want one?"
