I think Casey's role is a particularly big one, because his character is revealed to be (SPOILER ALERT) gay at the end. Which threw me for a loop because I believe this is the first openly gay animated character in a mainstream Hollywood movie for kids. So that's pretty fucking significant, I'd say.

I liked Paranorman better than Coraline, actually. And I really liked Coraline alot. But I agree with RJ Lake on Fantastic Mr. Fox being the best movie of 2009.

The previous most surreal episode for me was the one where he gets high with his neighbor and then buys an old dog for his daughters. That scene in the coffee shop lingers in the mind.

It's not his superhero name. Dude's about to be the next Batman. Robin is just his legal name that he is ashamed of and tells everyone to call him John.

Beasts Of The Southern Wild is by far the best movie I've seen this year. I have seen a few movies in advance screenings that are really great, but those don't count towards the 1st half of the year. All I'll say is watch out for Looper and Seven Psychopaths.

Bullhead was indeed good, but my one knock on the film was its relentlessly serious tone. To me the movie could have benefitted from a few moments of levity, or an acknowledgement/wink at the conceit that this deadly serious gangster movie revolves around cows. I would kill to see the Coen Bros' take on this material.

I had the pleasure of seeing 21 of the 51 movies on this list. Some of them came and went too quickly before I had the chance to see them, and they're not on DVD yet. I spy roughly 12-15 more movies on that list I'm dying to see, and a few that I could live without. Weirdly, most of the movies I don't care about on

This is exactly what I was thinking about the ending, and my mind initially went to a dark place, like perhaps the show is implying that Kenny killed someone or stole a body to have cadaver fragments in the van. Maybe he dug up Seth Rogen's grave and stuck him in there, or killed Adam Scott's character and threw the

Not this season, but I'd say that may have been true last season.

I look at the second half of this episode as being a literal representation of the kind of life Ashley Schaeffer has always implied he lives (even in this episode, before the plantation sequence, he's making references to cocaine and automatic weapons). I think because its a comedy show that relies to a certain degree
