The truth is that the money you spend on this film goes to paying back Fox Searchlight, who already paid Nate Parker months ago. He's got his money already. FS and whatever theater you patronize are the entities that benefit from your ticket sale.

Put me down as being interested in American Honey, The Girl On The Train, Voyage Of Time, Under The Shadow, Tower, Certain Women, Desierto, The Handmaiden and Moonlight. I have already seen The Light Between Oceans and The Accountant. Light gets a "decent" rating in my book, and The Accountant was great (well, a

Beautiful final moments. Cat For President.

I second this

"Or she’s sold out her husband to free herself and left her brother to rot"

First of all, LOVE the user name. Second, maybe!

I gotta say I was intensely underwhelmed by this episode as well. Ret-conning Liv Tyler in Miracle and meeting Evie was extremely contrived and forced. Also, after all the good stuff this season, winding up with yet another Guilty Remnant end game feels like they took about 5 steps forward and 25 steps back. But then

She's the only other person that could possibly manipulate the reviews that get chosen, and she has appeared on several occasions to want Forrest's job. Season 1 ended with her happily taking center stage and relishing the idea of "Review with AJ Gibbs". I can't imagine she was too happy about his return for a second

AJ is the one trying to kill Forrest. Look at her reaction to the "Being Hunted" review selection.

It's actually slightly better than the review suggests. Maybe a 7 out of 10 (or B/B- if we're doing AV style grades)

Agreed

It's played completely straight in the movie, as is most of the rest of the film. I don't think the movie works as something you're supposed to laugh at. But as a drama, I think it occasionally works.

It's actually closer to Being There than Network (although there are obvious parallels to both). The first half of the movie and portions of the climax had me on the fence, but I thought the film landed on a satisfying final note. And to me it works as a drama and not at all as a comedy, so it would be wise not to

It seems like every season the writers feel the need to "raise the stakes" in the final stretch by introducing some new storyline and it always comes off as forced and inauthentic. There was Jessa's bullshit wedding in season 1, the OCD thing in season 2, fucking Desi in season 3, and now Hannah's Dad in season 4.

Where was Rob Schneider? Is he ok? You guyssssssss????????

Burt Wonderstone is about 10 times better than Blades Of Glory. Easily.

2012 - Seven Psychopaths, Goon, 21 Jump Street, Moonrise Kingdom
2011 - Midnight In Paris, Bridesmaids, Young Adult, The Trip
2010 - Please Give, I Love You Phillip Morris, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
2009 - Fantastic Mr. Fox, In The Loop, Black Dynamite, Adventureland
2008 - In Bruges, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder,

Oh, also "Bad Santa", "Best In Show", "Bowfinger", "In Bruges", "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "A Mighty Wind" are all great.

bfred, I think Mike Judge has made a couple that have real staying power. Edgar Wright's comedies are classics in my book. The Big Lebowski was released 15 years ago, and no matter what you think of it, surely you can't deny its staying power and ability to stay ubiquitous. Maybe its just me, but I find "In The Loop"

I liked it a lot. Don't get why the movie has been so ill received. I thought it was genuinely funny, and appreciated its intention to stay away from the improv fest that basically every comedy film since 40 Year Old Virgin has been. Carrey is the best he's been in years (in a comedy, mind you), and Carell and Buscemi
