It's a weird generational thing-my parents speak in hushed tones of awe whenever discussing Billy Jack and Walking Tall, yet shrug their shoulders remembering Fritz the Cat and The Godfather. Never underestimate the power of a populist movie

The scene where Tony fucks that secretary while sitting on a chair was a weird one to watch with Mom.

One time, my mom walked in on me watching the documentary Wadd about John Holmes. There's several scenes from his loops/movies, and I remember my mom turning to me and saying, "What woman would want that inside of her?!" while pointing at John's giant sponge dick. That was really weird.

Exactly! It's like a fairy tale, with the cannibalistic ogres even having bags of gold in their basement. Plus the girl is named Alice which I thought was a fairly obvious allusion as a kid (the fact that the parents are 'supposed' to be Ron and Nancy Reagan was just completely lost on me then)

I want to really like Society but it just feels like an overextended bit (the rich EAT the poor!) that could have easily been a segment to a horror anthology. Maybe I'm wrong, because it's been awhile, but I was really disappointed (it's also not nearly as funny as People Under the Stairs)

I love horror movies, but sadly, not every girl likes watching them. I've found that this movie, along with Sleepaway Camp and Near Dark, always goes over well with women.

When I was 12, my younger brother and I would always go with out with our dad every other weekend to Mr. Movies and get the 5 for $5 deal. This movie was always a favorite of ours-I still adore it, and think it works best as a crazy children's movie-and there was one scene we absolutely adored. When The Man is yelling…
