Bolin has been my favorite ever since I first saw the pictures, and I am pleased he is living up to his awesomeness.
Fair. Zuko never really appealed to me as catnip — I actually never really _liked_ any of the guys from A:TLA, probably because Sokka's early sexism irritated me too much — but Bolin is way closer to my type.
Is anyone else completely bored by Mako? He just seems so obviously cut out to be the person the fangirls want to ship: his knee-jerk rejection of Korra, his obvious learning of lessons by the time the episodes are over, Korra's obvious crush on him basically because he's handsome and doesn't fawn over her, his tragic…
If it helps, the only time I've heard it before, it was attributed to him: http://www.radaronline.com/…
Intervention? Intervention? Intervention?
If it helps, the only time I've ever heard it before, it was attributed to him.
Aang-as-Avatar and Aang himself are different: Aang himself is not in control of the Avatar state until the last episode, when he figures out energybending. Aang was not in control at the North Pole, he was more of a passive conduit for the primal rage, and he wasn't consciously trying to cold-bloodedly murder people…
@avclub-3c36435a565c34cfb09a74aed6601b64:disqus Littlefinger's got to expand his brothel choices. If he's already serving up some cadaverous motherfuckers…
Agree with you and @TheDeadBurger:disqus — I want to give him a hug and the phone number of a really good therapist. You feel like he's a bullied guy who is finally snapping back.
I love all the people on this thread who can't figure out that it is, actually, impossible to live above the poverty line on a wage of $2 an hour. Or $.50 an hour.
I like you. I wish I could give you a pony.
I feel you.
At the Taste of Chicago, a guy sold my friend a Streetwise that was several months old.
But Buffy/Spike was always the fan-preferred couple.
So, it's not that AVClubbers are sexist, but AVClubbers automatically hate anything that isn't recommended to them by their young male cohort? Awesome. Yo, that's still sexist, you're also just demonstrating that you're extremely limited in your processing ability.
I remember that! And Todd even said, "no, it's not as good, but it's to network shows what The Wire is to cable", but…
Seriously, people have to stop paying attention to headlines. They're not very accurate and they're just trying to get page hits — and they are almost certainly not written by Emily Yoshida. (Sorry, desperately underpaid AVClub copy-editors, I appreciate you're writing provocative titles because Nathan Rabin will…
Good article. Seriously, would there have been this much backlash if Emily had a more unisex name, or had written about the seamy underside of celebrity poker?
Man I hope Zack's one major flaw is the actress portraying Sisko's wife, who was terrible. After the first couple of scenes with her, I turned to my boyfriend and said, "I see why they killed her off so quickly."
