I don't have much hope for 'Southland' (looks like a typical "issue"-driven cop show), I think NBC has been holding onto it for a year or more now (and it's on it's third title now, after 'Police' and 'LAPD'). Ryan from 'The OC' was good in 'Junebug' though.

I'm also curious about the decision to put 'Southland' in a timeslot that's not going to exist in a few months. I'd guess they're hoping to build interest by having two solid lead-ins, plus hoping to pick up former 'ER' viewers. But what happens after that?
