Lilith mentioned during the interview that she was extremely sick, and that she was uncomfortable with how she would sound, but did not want to reschedule.  I'm sure that if she was a transexual she would have discussed it on the show.  Too big a topic to avoid.

I have a theory that the first five Vonnegut novels you read will be your favorites.  So for me it is Cat's Cradle, Dead Eye Dick, Breakfast Of Champions, Slaughterhouse Five and Galapagos.  My least favorite is Slapstick, and yet I think I remember it the best.

My wife and I re-watch all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls every year.  We pound through the first 6 seasons in about 5 months and then spend the rest of the year watching season 7.

I finished Trinities, and I've finished everything Tosches has written, and loved most of it, but holy hell this new one is bad.  Me and the Devil feels desperate in all the wrong ways.  He's written a novel about an old man chasing and feeding upon youth, and he gets a blurb from Johnny Depp.  The Tosches of the 80s

My biggest problem with the show is that any episode that stretches over two hours would come in close to an hour if you edited out all the times Pete laughs at his own jokes.  Some weeks the philosophizing pisses me off, other weeks it's Pete's schtick, but somehow I never enjoy the whole episode.

I agree.  I'd also say that I don't want to live in a world where You Made It Weird is considered more noteworthy than The Mental Illness Happy Hour, but, um…

My list seems very different to what I'm seeing, but conveniently there are five I listen to when they drop.
1) Walking the Room
2) Mental Illness Happy Hour
3) J. V. Club
4) WTF
5) Deep Shit W/ Baron Vaughn

I used to eat Jack In The Box Tacos all the time.  It's brilliant that they sell them two for a dollar, because if you eat more than two they start to taste like fish, but not in a good way.

Goin Back is great, and I really don't get the whole return to form thing about the new album, as he has made plenty of great albums throughout his career, some might be a little slick, but still…
I really love the new album because it is not a return to form, but shows the good doctor pushing his boat out into new

Awesome avatar highnumber!

God damn, the new Dr. John is good.  MUCH better than the Black Keys.  Probably better than the new Neil Young will be, and surely should make the cut once you handicap for the Night Tripper being and old.

Um, Mr. Heller- the last track, for sure the weakest on the album, is a song for his kids, and is a duet with his daughter. Not quite a "conjugal duet."

I don't know.  This album has really been a grower for me.  First couple of listens really didn't do much, and then the album opened up.  I think Dangerous Age is one of the best singles Weller has released in twenty years, (and actually pretty funny for a dude with no sense of humor.)  I also enjoy just how damn
