One of the things I like best about this show is that, even though it's a blend of character study and procedural, and even though I feel like I know these characters pretty well both from this show and the tropes they are based on, Alphas can still manage to surprise me with their behavior while still making it feel

I really like Sebastian Stan in this role; that seemed like a weird complaint. I agree that the writing on TJ has dealt too much with his antics and not enough with their causes, but I don't think the actor is at fault. With Bud Hammond's actor finding the humanity in his performance in the last couple of episodes, I

I like Nina a lot more than most, and so this episode was much more powerful for me than it might otherwise have been. That being said, even if the Nina arc isn't engaging in itself, I think they're setting it up as an interesting progressive story structure with Parrish - Nina's story is about how you derive

I like Neal much better because he is hilarious at revealing what Sorkin really thinks the internet is like. Maggie just makes me want to throw things at the TV.

Maggie is the fucking worst.

Susan and Doug bore the crap out of me. I can't wait for TJ to wake up again.

I would never have thought of this angle - interesting. What could Stanton's game be to keep that in play, though?

I actually did miss Nina. She brings an edge, a simmering discontent with the world and what it is like, that I found missing in this week. Everyone else is fairly accepting or at least sanguine about things now that Bill has calmed down, but she was the one driving and pushing more than anyone for stuff to change,

I didn't realize how much I'd missed Gary's humor last week until this week. Bless him and his weirdness.
