Ah, yes. Dan Arkroyd, Will Arrell, etc.

Oh yeah. I guess I always thought of that guy as more of a club comic. He seems like a Henny Youngman type to me.
That sounds awesome.
I've never seen or read Laughter (Would you recommend it?), but I'd put the other two in that order. My Favorite Year is a fun movie - and Mark-Linn Baker manages to make a good foil for Peter O'Toole - but The Dick Van Dyke Show is one of the best things ever.
It's too bad that they don't get more comments, but I'm always really glad when Todd or Noel (*sniff*) writes about the early days of TV.
Yeah, agreed. I always felt like I would have been a huge fan of this show (especially in middle school, when I was obsessed with Monty Python and old SNL and all that).
After all these years, I still always think of her as "The ugly aunt that Jan is worried she's going to grow up to resemble" from that one episode of The Brady Bunch.
According to both of them in recent interviews (on WTF, on the Mel Brooks retrospective DVD, various other places), they came up with the "2,000 Year Old Man" bit in the writers' room and then did it at parties for 10 years before recording it.
John Sweetin.
Naw, killing people off and then bringing them back has always been one of Joss's specialties. It happened about a million times on Buffy and Angel.
Janet was the other one. She was okay, I guess, but they never realy fleshed her out.
Yeah, Lulu's awesome. And it's not that I hate Kirk - I just didn't find him nearly as amusing the second time.
You know, I loved Kirk the first time I watched the series. But the second time, I thought he got tiresome real fast. I don't know if that's because it's only fun once, or because I was older, or what.
Cousin Marilyn is Richard's gossipy cousin who looks exactly like his mom, and first appears at (SPOILERS) the latter's funeral. She was in two episodes.
Hmm, that's fair.
See, I think that's a big part of why Emily is such a fascinating character. Even when she does horrible things, her heart is in the right place. And even when her heart is in the right place, she's still capable of doing horrible things.
I kind of think Bledel is underrated. She could be awkward sometimes, but she was a pretty solid comedic actress, all things considered.
It almost seems like they just forgot that he had been mentioned several times as a member of the household.
And that's why Jess's relationship with Luke was so much more interesting than his relationship with Rory.
I really enjoy the idea that "Bop It" is a long-standing tension-breaker in the Gilmore household.
