GREEN is atrocious. Awful songs and the production is embarrassing.

SOMETHING HAPPENED is better than CATCH-22.
Nope. GET READY is terrific. Killer b-sides, too.
Poor syntax and a lack of fact-checking from an AV Club staff member? That's new.
"Eminence Front" is fucking amazing.
I remember reading this ridiculous/hilarious interview with him some years back where he said something along the lines of "It would be awkward for my daughter's friends to eventually begin following Phish on the road."
Maybe throw in FUNKY FOREST: THE FIRST CONTACT as well…
BRIEF AND FRIGHTENING REIGN OF PHIL is a novel. Maybe not the huge, massively overwritten novel that people in the U.S. have come to expect from authors (compare the length of an average French, German, Japanese, etc. work of literary fiction with one from a British or American author for some interesting contrasts),…
I remember reading Kurt Vonnegut's "The No-Talent Kid" and Bradbury's "The Veldt" with my middle school classroom, and this was in an extremely reactionary Missouri-Synod Lutheran academy.
Umm. Yasmina Reza IS a published novelist:
I remember reading that their process of writing lyrics is akin to a round-robin game, with each band member taking turns with lines, which probably explains the abundance of silly rhymes.
Even the b-sides from GET READY are amazing. I love "Player in the League", which is every bit as beautiful an instrumental as "Elegia".
I'm more of a Joe Jackson person, but that is an utter bullshit thing to say.
It holds up beautifully. Phil Joanou was heavily inspired by Martin Scorsese's AFTER HOURS and the Coens' BLOOD SIMPLE (hence Barry Sonenfeld's cinematography) and it has a sense of scale and fluidity that amplifies the humor in surprising ways.

My favorite work by Struzan might be his poster for Phil Joanou's THREE O'CLOCK HIGH (1987). I've had a framed one in my office for many years.

Not really. Many independent stores have it, and you can procure a copy for less than $10 on Amazon. It's not exactly La Monte Young's The Well-Tuned Piano.
HAPPINESS OF THE KATUKARIS, KIDS IN THE HALL: BRAIN CANDY and DAMSELS IN DISTRESS all had terrific musical numbers.
I still own that on VHS! Gotta love Garry Trudeau.
