I was so pulling for Darlene and thought, like Paul during the final judging, that it was her's to lose.  I'm not sure if I truly didn't like Brian, or if I just didn't like the Brian from the edits the producers spun.  I'm pretty sure his cockiness was real, but there were some (few and far between) moments that

I guess that is confusing, huh?  At least my personal faves, so hoping they're prophetic predictions!  I've edited it appropriately now. Thanks!

I must be getting used to "reality competitions" dragging out the end-of-show eliminations, or maybe Paula talked too long so they were running out of time, but Nigel saying Jasmine M. was out felt very sudden and quick.  I said out loud to no one in particular, "Uhhh … oh, um … well, ok then."

Overall, a much improved night than last week.  I went back-and-forth with the elimination in my mind throughout the week, but the elimination is much better at the end after allowing the contestants to dance their routines and up their game.  Plus we get a nice video package of their highlights!

Ha!  My wife and I noticed the lipstick, too!

Like most everybody, my wife and I were furious and confused with the elimination before the individual dances of the night.  Obviously, Mackenzie and Alan were going to be saved … but then Jade over Carlos?  After those solos?!?  Carlos had the most technically superior one and that still wasn't enough to sway the

Center for Ants … possibly the best username I've seen in forever!

My reactions exactly.  I admit that I went by the commercials alone and thought that these were ACTUAL people ACTUALLY thinking they were on an ACTUAL reality competition.  But once I realized it was doubly fake (that the "contestants" were fake, too, which actually didn't take long; the Icelandic girl's change of

Raising my hand here as confused also.  I thought it was actual people thinking they were on an actual reality show when some sorta hell breaks loose.  Now that it's "fiction disguised as a reality show," I think it loses some of it's immediate interest, but strangely, I'm up for at least one more episode.

Absolutely, the opening one-take number was brilliant and looked so complicated, but they pulled it off perfectly!  I thought Nigel was hilarious animating; he wasn't taking himself too seriously, so it fit the tone of the number.

Right on the money, TripleA85.  Not a dancer myself, but I have a theatre degree so I love the performance and creativity aspects.  Truly, SYTYCD is a great reality contest that focuses on the art of dance rather than seeing if a celebrity can.  That's why Project Runway and Face/Off are also stellar contests, in my

Had a problem with using the app on an Android phone.  Anyone else have problems?  I've never voted for a show ever and wanted to so badly last night!  My faves better make it, America!

Ha!  Tasty Oreo.  I actually have some in my fridge.  Birthday Cake flavor.  H-E-A-VEN.

Nico's really the only one who annoys me.  Just something about him seemed egotistical to me ever since his auditions.  And probably Jenna, too; you can just tell she KNOWS she's good for the camera, but somehow she doesn't bug me as much.

A few other thoughts while they're fresh:

My favorite piece to watch was Scott's sand number, without a doubt.  Insanely creative!  The best story in a number, though, was Mia Michaels'.  Like you said, Oliver, it didn't need any set-up or description in the rehearsal video, it was obvious.  And it was incredibly good.

I'm beginning to wonder if you're not actually my wife, Olive, because you continually say pretty much the exact same things both she and I say, not to mention she's also a huge Kristin Chenoweth fan and loved Pushing Daisies.

My thoughts exactly.  The Top 10 Guys routine was crazy creative and amazing to watch and buried the Top 10 Girls routine deep in the ground … but I think the girls are a stronger group, technically.  Perhaps it's because the guys have two animators and two tappers (love Aaron! Don't care how he got on, but I like him

Exactly.  He's smiley enough to like a lot, but you can't be smiling big in every routine.  Granted, he had a hiphop routine that was just supposed to be fun anyway.  Mariah totally stole that number though!  I really liked her after that number (though I do agree with Oliver that it didn't start the show the best).

Ha!  Noticed that, too, and chuckled outloud.
