Miss you, Paul!

Except for the 80 degree thermostat.

Aside from the ickiness of an older man dating a particularly childlike young woman, isn't it unethical—or at least unwise—for a teacher to date a student's parent?

She is in no way articulate enough to be an English teacher.

Good for Alicia in planting her heels for the raise…though I did find it hard in this economy (or what the heck, my own financial situation) to sympathize with her difficulty in re-buying the million+ dollar house.

No mention of Alicia booting David Lee from her divorce…and maybe reconsidering divorce after all?

Why does Takeda care enough to get so involved? I hope they answer this. Wasn't he supposed to be a character added solely for the purpose of airing on Japanese TV? He now is crucial to the plot. It would be great to see him fleshed out beyond the Inscrutable Asian Sensei stereotype.

The KKK thing was totally a Simpsons joke!

Andy is such a Bingley.

I'm fine with Jess being weird, but why does she have to be an idiot too? Calling someone "to get something taken off the Internet"? Pleading guilty in the Jess and Julia episode? She should not be teaching anyone, except maybe preschoolers.

Not even "giving up the law" entirely, but "giving up the law for 6 months will kill you!"

I don't see why Tina Fey's eagerness to make herself look ugly on TV indicates especially low self-esteem—that's standard comedian behavior (though I realize that's a pretty self-loathing field).

It really makes no sense for her to have no security system. Or for Nolan to get rid of Big Ed.

Shouldn't Robin be Canadian Nice, at least?

Glee should use the considerable resources they have to rip off and re-create music videos to hire innovative choreographers and music arrangers instead.

I don't think Jess came out well in the comparison between her and Julia at all. She seemed awfully ungrateful for the fact that Julia was helping her—even if condescendingly—in court, ratting her out to Nick. And then Jess's behavior in court didn't exactly help corroborate her claims of intelligence and toughness.

Eighteenth century cultural mores allowed for more open ribaldry than in the nineteenth century. Tristram Shandy and Tom Jones are miles away from the works of Dickens and George Eliot. But by 1918, when Ulysses was first serialized—albeit not in the UK? Yes, I think a little indirect allusion to wang among women was

I know that actress is of similar age to the actor who plays William, but she just looks so incredibly young (around middle school age) to me that his yearning for her always seemed bizarre.

Ahem, that's nucular.

Did Victoria deliberately imply that David Clarke raped her, though? I thought it seemed like Daniel made that assumption and she decided to go along with it. Of course, Conrad could just as easily reveal the truth to Daniel later.
