They were on Netflix at some point? Surprised I didn't notice that…

@avclub-83de02c3cfc3634de1279cbc17a8fbae:disqus Succinct recap. As far as the Observers "turning evil," September's scientific team is of benign intent, or at least started out that way - going back in time to observe historical events, and only interfering when they screwed up things (though you're right, the writers

At this point, I'm thinking we're not going to hear much about Season 4's "rewritten timeline" (or whatever) again. While I liked a lot of episodes in the season, it seemed pretty clear to me by the end of it that the writers weren't really sure how to wrap it up in a satisfactory way.

Yup.

Yup.

September indeed distracted Walternate from noticing the cure. He talks about with Peter in "The End of All Things." And apparently the whole "deleting Peter" thing in Season 4 was somehow about repairing the mistake…though I'm still not really clear on how all that worked, or was supposed to work.

Good call - "Ability" is one of my favorites. As much as people shit on Season 1, there are several great episodes. I also really like "The Arrival," the first introduction to the Observers.

I would put "Bad Dreams" on the honorable mention list. That one really kicked off some of Olivia's past as a child who was experimented on, explaining to a degree why she is the way that she is. It also demonstrates the type of life that Walter and Bell wrought on those kids.

@avclub-8b5e7836dd068601d1d820b4147fde37:disqus Really? That's hilarious, because in "Telethon" she tells Leslie that she just called her brother, who's visiting her uncle in Liberia and wants to know what happened on Lost.
