I mean to say those three episodes are the ones I'm not into. State Dinner's a little better, but still like a "C", if we were to use the grading system. The other two just kind of amble about without finding anything interesting.

I realized at that moment that he never had a really "Brock" moment so far this season and hoped he'd manage to take out the terrifying guy.

Eegh, I dunno. It feels like a very distinct shared voice. Plus the only other writer wrote Viva Los Muertos, the only episode not featuring Bud Manstrong that I straight up don't like. Not sure how others feel on it, though.

That's a really good idea, damn. I love it.

Yeah, at first I was suspecting we just hadn't been told, since they've been writing for it and giving interviews. But what scares me is the lack of "the venture brothers will return" at the end of the credits. D'aw.

I can't believe we have to wait to see what happens with Brain Dome and Woman Lady's romance. Bullshit.

They mentioned the story they intended to make the season finale just couldn't fit, much like last season. Near the end, here. Unfortunately, the best we get regarding a special or something is a "you never know"

The accidental SAW situation might be one of the funniest things this show's ever done. Holy shit.

That is a very good point, actually. Maybe that's not fair to the online conversations I complain about - it would be nice to being able to have a chat about this sort of thing without jumping back to the mega-sad shit constantly.

It's rather like having a drunk, unfortunately-opinioned relative represent you in court.

Oh pardon - I can't see it now, but I must have misread the comment earlier - I thought you added that you also spoke poorly at the end of that first paragraph, though I'm assuming you actually meant the speaker.

Do you reckon you can do this kind of storyline nowadays? I can clearly see how it'd come off as rather misinformed, but I love the thought that Susan may not have even been bisexual, and George is a bad enough boyfriend to make you reconsider your attraction to men entirely.

On that same note, if we can spend five minutes on hair, we can have certainly have a digression on "yes but also holy fuck about everything else"

God help you if you're a transgender woman. You have three choices: 1. Be a victim, 2. Be insane, 3. Be a show pony.

This whole line is super painful to read. I agree it's an issue, but that's essentially saying "For shame, you're letting a race-obsessed society order you how to look! Be more like your ethnicity!"

Oh god thank you. That drives me up the fucking wall. They'll dump people in soot, but hair must remain untangled.

Actually, not only is that pretty cool - that was being set up, it seemed like, in those first few episodes. Then it got kind of forgotten and solved off-screen - what, did everyone who spoke up at the new guild's conference have their problems resolved once they recruited Wide Wale?

I think the reason season 5 (and this season, I'm predicting) is so much better once it's over and you can rewatch it with full knowledge, is that it's kind of like birthday presents as a kid.

I hadn't picked that up, having not seen the movie! but I'd say that's more 21 making the reference than the show, right?

It's more of a condition.
