The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Luck of the Fryish and Godfellas raise mainstream half-hour animated sitcoms to an artform. I can remember being absolutely blown away the first time I saw Godfellas.

Burn After Reading struck me as being a bit slight at first too, but the more I thought about it, the more I kind of think that it's the ultimate distillation of the Coen's worldview. Pretty much all of their films feature someone outside the main plot watching the action with a detached amusement/bafflement/anger

Patton Oswalt and David Cross are my two favorite stand ups. It seems like they're becoming so ubiquitous that they're starting to get some backlash though. Too bad, because they're hilarious. I could experience either for the first time.

I'm actually only halfway through season 3 right now, but I can remember when I first finished Season 1, I just thought "HOLY SHIT, OMG, WHAT HAPPENS NOW? EVERYONE'S IN JAIL, HOW CAN THE STORY PROGRESS? I MUST GET SEASON 2 NOW!"

Canadian Comedy Month
Rabin, will Canadian Comedy Month include an entry on Strange Brew? Talk about an underappreciated movie.

I think Holy Grail falls apart by design. Life of Brian hangs together extremely well (as much as a movie that goofy and off the wall can stay together anyway). Holy Grail kinda comes full circle with jokes laid in earlier when Castle Aaagh is inhabited by the weird French guys and the cops arrest them for murdering

Hockey.

steve martin's humor might have gone away, but at least shop girl was decent.

"No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies"

i bought this completely on a whim yesterday…mostly because of the Mouse and the Mask album and Doom being on one of my favorite Gorillaz songs "November Has Come". it brings my total of rap albums that i own up to 3. this, the last roots album and deltron 3030. this is fucking awesome though. i'm gonna have to go

Don't mention their foreheads!

Adult Swim says The Room is available on DVD from Amazon in widescreen with deleted scenes!

The reveal at the end of the one episode of Trapped In A Closet, when R. Kelly sings "It's a man!" is one of the craziest, funniest things I've ever seen. It's unbelievable. I lost my mind the first time I saw that. The insane ego that went into that is awe-inspiring. It should definitely come up on here at some

also, you have to love the Deltron 3030 reference to Bob and Doug McKenzie. i meant to mention Strange Brew in the Guaranteed Laughs article on Friday, but i forgot. that movie is fucking brilliant.

give the kids Damaged, Tim, Surfer Rosa and Murmur and they'll be just fine.

I had to throw on Deltron 3030 after reading this article. Amazing album.

there's no way it's worse than driving through ohio. for a relatively small state, it seems to take forever to drive through. plus you have to be in ohio, so that's a strike right there.

Mark Kozelek
Maybe somewhere in the 8 pages this is mentioned, but not in the first three, so I'll say it…

The Ice of Boston and Gyroscope are both killer songs by The Dismemberment Plan.
