McDonald's is awesome.  It's quick and cheap.  1700 calories for $4, it's almost as cheap as milk.  Your "McDonald's Fallacy" is really "people judge things by criteria that I look down upon."  Anyway we live in a world where there are thousands of non-McDonald's restaurants, so who cares what the unwashed masses like…

I'd include Blade Runner here, rather than in improved.  The drab voice-over at the beginning emphasized the noir movie roots, the unicorn dream is dated as all hell, and the excellent ambiguous ending was made simple and stupid.
