Hey, I'm only saying it about Nancy now that Frank is in the ground and can't take care of me.

I think Don sees that too, when he watches her reel.

And "Only live twice" was sung by Nancy Sinatra, who would never have got the gig if it wasn't for her last name. Kinda like Megan getting the commercial.

Megan maybe physically more attractive (your mileage may vary), but as a choice for Don, she's terrible. He's the guys who's always chasing the empty fantasy, and when he had a choice between; a woman his own age, who understood him and could help him actually understand himself; or a young woman that he barely knew,…

I think it goes right back to the last episode of the last season: Don picked the wrong woman to marry. He chose the fantasy (Megan - young, unwritten) over the reality (Dr. Faye - same age as Don, and she understands him). And now it's catching up with him, don't you think?

"Soon, he’s back at the bar, talking to that pretty girl and smiling in a way where you know just what he’s going to say."
Really? I thought the power in that final image was that we DIDN'T know what he was going to say - the pause, and the look in Don's eyes could be anything from "Yer out of your league, run away" to…

Saw a few minutes of Aliens on tv recently - the scene where they wake out of cryo-sleep. Noticed that Lance had his shirt off and was looking pretty ripped. I was surprised, considering how old he was in that movie.
Idle curiosity takes me to IMDB - he was two years younger than I am today.
